Dutch EdTech Bootcamp to NYC and Boston // January 28th - February 1st 2019

The Dutch EdTech Mission is an intensive five-day program to get a Dutch EdTech delegation acquainted with the US EdTech ecosystem. New York and Boston are two top-notch ‘EdTech-hubs’, and offer great opportunities for Dutch EdTech organizations interested in expanding to the US. This mission is organized by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York and the Holland Innovation Network in Boston.

Blockchain Symposium Including a Book Launch By Vice-Minister Yoka Brandt

Last September, the Consulate received a Dutch delegation of ten startups that use blockchain technology for social good. The flagship event of the mission was a blockchain symposium co-organized with UNOPS and the Worldbank. At the symposium Vice-Minister Yoka Brandt launched the book 'The Legal Aspects of Blockchain' which is now available in PDF for free here. The sessions with interesting disucssions on the legal aspects of Blockchain were recorded and are available through YouTube!

Lone Rooftop Receives Investment of 2.5 million USD

Dutch proptech platform Lone Rooftop is set to expand into U.S. and global markets. The $2.5 million investment earns Nimbus a coveted shareholder position and will directly fund Lone Rooftop’s ambitious growth strategy to become the leading space utilization platform. Employee numbers are expected to jump from 20 to over 100. Congratulations to the Lone Rooftop team!
